Saute onions in butter, then add tomatoes and simmer, add cabbabe. Cook till tender.
Bring water to a boil. Then add celery, carrots, (beets), and potatoes. Salt to taste.
Cook until tender. Add onion, tomato and cabbage mixture. Bring to a boil. Add green pepper
and dill. Remove from heat. Sprinkle black pepper on top. Let stand for 5 minutes. Then
have a bowlful with some homemade bread. Delicious!
There are many variations of this recipe, however, the ingredients are basically the same.
