Doukhobor Cultural Society of Saskatchewan
The DCSS is a provincial "umbrella" group representing 7 provincially registered Doukhobor societies from Saskatchewan.
Our mandate is to promote public awareness, understanding and appreciation of the contributions by Canadian Doukhobors to our provincial and national heritage and culture. We will do this by providing speakers, choir groups and public workshops as well as distributing pamphlets, a list of resource books and choir productions. The organization will encourage and seek out the understanding and cooperation amongst all Doukhobors in Saskatchewan and across Canada.
The DCSS is governed by a board of directors consisting of representatives from each of the 7 local Saskatchewan societies. From this board of directors, an executive committee is chosen to manage the affairs of the provincial society and be a representative voice for all Saskatchewan people of Doukhobor descent or connection.
DCSS is a charitable, not-for-profit organization that relies on volunteers to operate. It is funded through membership fees, some grant funding (e.g., Saskatchewan Culture), and donations. We are very grateful for any and all donations and, as a registered charity, we can provide official receipts for tax purposes. If you wish to DONATE to DCSS to help it fulfill its vision and objectives, please see our mailing address below.
